Golazo Ambassador Manon De Roey has received a great piece of news last week. She has officially been selected to play the women’s golf competition at the Olympic Games in Tokyo this summer and will be travelling to Japan along the other players Thomas Detry & Thomas Pieters, and her coach Jérôme Theunis.
“It will be a great honor to represent Belgium at the Olympics and a dream coming true. After last years postponement of the Games, I was worried I might never get the chance to go. I can’t wait to live this Olympic experience”, says Manon.
On the Ladies European Tour, Manon has got a difficult start of season, missing a few cuts. “Not the beginning I hoped for, but I’m ready to compete this summer and get some good results to improve my position in the LET ranking. Hopefully Tokyo will give me the extra boost I need”, added Manon.
The schedule of Manon on the Ladies European Tour is busy for the next weeks. Before flying to Tokyo she’ll be playing tournaments in England and Finland.
